DIFFERENT RELIGION

(Back to Questions)
Q: The Bible says God loved each one of us before we were born.  If so, why would a soul that He loved be placed in a family of a different religion that may not include Jesus as their Savior?

A: Questions like this tug on the heart and tease the brain.  We are thankful that God is not silent, even though complete satisfaction may not be enjoyed.

Romans 1:20 is straightforward truth: "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

This verse says, "God's 'invisible qualities'...have been clearly seen...so that men are without excuse."

From the very beginning of time God has chosen to reveal Himself to mankind.  And He has not limited Himself to one style of revelation.  He has revealed Himself through His Word (Psalm 119:130), vision (Daniel 2, 7), angels (Revelation 14), missionaries (Acts 10), prophets (Hebrews 1:1), His Son Jesus (Hebrews 1:2), creation (Romans 1:20), the Holy Spirit (John 16:5-9), today's Church, and more.

At the judgment, all mankind will bow their knee and confess with their tongue that Jesus Christ is Lord.  Each will be held accountable for the light (understanding) they have received, not what hasn't been revealed.  Therefore, humankind will stand before Jesus without excuse.
